Actually they're not that bad, but they did hurt.
Due to popular demand i.e. from my family, I've put these up so you can see how my feet were last week (before the new shoes), and what walking 20 miles a day can do to you. I'd never had a proper blister before.
With regard to the big toe comparison shots, bets are being taken on which nail will fall off first...

Raising Money for the fight against Amyloidosis

- 800 Miles
- Just over a year ago my mother passed away after a valiant, but painful, fight against amyloidosis. I'm walking across Spain from North to South this summer to raise awareness of the disease and raise money to help in the fight for a cure.

I would say the left one TBH.
I've seen worse blisters on folks along the way including some which required hospitalisation.
My personal approach to blisters generally shocks people but the theory is sound. I open up the blister at night just before I go to sleep. On the assumption that the microbial environement in the sleping bag is similar to my skin, I leave the punctured blister to dry out during the night. By morning its always dry and can be ignored after that unless its where my foot needs toughening.
For some reason I tend to get blisters only on the left foot!
Caroline.
