The bar I ended up in, Boveda 47 is run by the family Gato, and Maria, the delightful sister in charge, having heard my story, not only charged me far less than we'd run up on the tab but when I asked her about places to stay organised for her brother to drive me across to the local hostal (don't worry, from the bar to the hostal isn't on the route, so there's no cheating!) As ever the general warmth and decency of the Spaniards is very touching.
Now to give my feet some love. Night all.

Nels - from what you've just told me about the "delightful sister" I think a trip back to the Bar Gato is in order after Tarifa!!
